A few years back I did some work for a Gloucester MA investigative firm, ACI Investigative Group. They were looking to take old analog video from 8mm tapes and convert it to a digital format they could then render down and place on CDs for their clients and insurance companies.
Today, where internet speeds are so fast, CDs just seem like an out-dated technology. Designed By Day will be developing a quick, easy way for ACI to upload video segments to their website and have designated client areas that automatically display video. This isn't a huge programming challenge, but it's fun because it's about as close as I'll ever get to PI work.
